View Full Version : Aero Precision .308 rifles
Anybody here running one? The sales emails are coming hot and heavy and you can build one in pieces from Aero and it is cheaper than buying a full rifle from them, go figure...
I am curious is anyone has one of the 18" barreled uppers and your thoughts on it precision-wise and if it plays nice suppressed.
One of these - http://aeroprecisionusa.com/m5e1-308-18-cmv-complete-upper.html and one of these - http://aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-b5-sopmod-complete-lower-fde-fde.html along with their BCG.
It's hell to have money and a little bit of time on your hands this week!

Do Tell
WE were discussing this yesterday. I'm wanting a RPR in .308. However these deals on uppers & lowers R's in .308 are really trying my will power.
Try not having any money and no time.
Well you just need to not tell the wife.

I am running one. actually almost 2..... It's an awesome gun now.... I had some problem with it, but I was an early adopter. Aero did stand behind their product and this is why now I have enough parts to finish my second one. If you build one I would strongly suggest you get a DPMS SASS barrel. The precision of this barrel is excellent.

My ol lady doesn't care, it's the lack of $$ that makes it more difficult. Hell she probably has more of an ammo stash then most board members.

I have a complete lower that I've put together so far. I'm waiting for more money to come in to get the rest of the parts.
Well I think the lower may be ordered today since they are not sold out and then grab one of those Geissele sale specials and I am in business.
Oh yeah the wife doesn't really care either she just rolls her eyes a lot.

I just completed a build with an 18" Ballistic Advantage premium barrel. I haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet. I'll send you an update after the weekend if the weather isn't too bad. It looks good. Guess we'll see how well I follow instructions.
Subscribed..... got m5e upper handguard and lower set from santa

Just finished building my M5. Straight forward. You need their take down and lower pin. Not sure if anything else is proprietary or not. I've only shot a few rounds this last weekend and suffered enough snow blindness that I called it good. No issues at this time but haven't shot it enough to give a good recommendation. Awesome prices with the sales! No issues with order or shipping.
