We've lived here a month and don't quite know how things are hooked up. The house is a modular that was added onto, when the addition was made a new panel was added in the garage. I believe the garage panel controls everything for the addition and all of it is off, none of the garage breakers seem to do anything at the moment (everything was fine yesterday). Non of the breakers in the main panel are off so we're not sure what has happened.

Would the 2nd panel usually be wired to a breaker on the main panel or might it be wired directly to the pedestal that feeds the houses? Any advice or ideas on what we should look for would be extremely helpful. Anyone comfortable with electrical work that would be open to doing a side job in Castle Rock in the next day or two?

Unless you have a second meter, your sub will come off a breaker(s) in the main panel.

It should come off the main panel. That doesn't mean they did it right.

Thanks for the help Mindfold, sorry you had to drive all the way out to find something so easy but everyone really appreciated it.

FYI, it sounds like there's another box, outside of the house that has each panel wired to it.

I had no idea there were modular homes in Castle Rock. Lol.

Glad you got taken care of.

Yeah there are some issues you should take care of. With all those sub panels, the grounding needs to be verified.
