Yea, I know "trust". But it looks like that option may be going away before my finances are ready. And I don't think the "Hearing Act" has any chance. So does Pelle sign off on ear protection devices?

I was told by a sheriff's deputy at the range last year that Pelle has no problem signing off on NFA items.

Going away??
What it does, after July, 2016 requires you to submit fingerprints and photo. That info stays valid for 2 years. Granted there's vague wording / interpretation for who's "responsible" However it's easier after 7/16 to obtain a NFA item, since there's no longer a CLEO sign off.
NO CLEO sign off to get a nfa item, means no trust needed (after 7/16) saving people like you money.

It will take some time for legal experts to come to a consensus on all of the ramifications of the ruling, but one element stands out clearly: the chief law enforcement officer (CLEO) signatory requirement has been removed for all NFA transfers. Instead, transfers will require only CLEO notification.

The ATF ruling also creates new requirements for “responsible persons” or the people who are allowed to take possession of NFA-regulated firearms owned by a trust. Each person will be required to provide photos and fingerprint cards with each NFA application. These credentials will remain on-file for two years for future applications, assuming the trust has not had any other corporate or personnel changes.

Yes. All of mine have taken a day or two.

+1. Over the past 10 years, and as recently as last month, Sheriff Joe has signed 14+ Form 4's for me, for cans, SBR's, SBS's, as well as a few Form 1's for SBR's. All done promptly too, no questions asked. I believe he'll sign Form 4's for MG's too, but unfortunately I can't speak from personal experience on these.
