I just picked up a PSA 10.5" AR pistol and I'm thinking a red or green laser might be a valued accessory for this wee gun? Yes/No? Your thoughts gentleman... Also will add a Eotech at some point.

Would choose GREEN over red and Aimpoint for a optic. Just my $.02

Thanks for the reply Kid. I have played the Aimpoint/Eotech field and Eotech has always come up the winner for me due to their ring/dot window - just works best for me. The green seems to be the winner from a viz standpoint. I'm hoping to get some product opinions. I figure the cheek weld issue might make a laser a viable option.

Love you new avatar BTW
I seriously considered a tlr-2 hl g on my 8.5" .300 Blk pistol. At some point, I may still pick one up and substitute it.
I went with a Thordsen saddle, an Inforce light and PA micro red dot. The saddle makes a lot of difference for me on how I present and move with the weapon. The overall length makes it a nice personal defense weapon for me.

I will admit I was "anti-laser" until about 4 years ago. I don't use them on shotgun because I find they actually slow me down and degrade my hit percentage. With pistol and rifle, they can be a great benefit and allow you to do things you otherwise could not do. I do have them on several weapons...IR, Green and Red.
Green is easier to see in daylight, but not all lasers are the same and I have some red CTCs that are more visible in daylight than some cheap greens I have tested them against. Another thing to consider is the activation. If you are going to case/transport a weapon, will the mode of activation prevent accidentally having it on in a bag. That, to me a a downside of the CTC lasers, even though they are some of the best for visibility.
Like anything battery operated, make sure you develop an appropriate schedule to change out the batteries and have a non-battery option for a backup if you are depending on it in any manner.
