When Obama’s speech inevitably turns to gun control to ask that the 5th amendment be thrown under the bus (no due process) in order to destroy the 2nd, do the following:

“Gun safety”: Down the rest of your drink.
“Gun control”: Loud “Boooooo” since that's off narrative, the antis have re-branded “control” to “safety”.

If he actually names the NRA instead of simply alluding to it: Down the bottle.

I don't think he had a choice but to change his rhetoric and start agreeing 2+2=4. Take away everything else he has done in the last seven years, the politics of this alone was getting impossible for him. What it will do to Dems politically remains to be seen.
