Not too anxious I hope, it may be a while before that happens.

Harder to get assault weapons? Well wtf does that mean?

Gonna push for another ban
Just watched the pResidential address. The lack of logic is strong with this one.
I fully expected him to slip up and say "My fellow muslims...I mean Americans."

Were you watching the address or SNL on the DVR?
I was surprised to see him refer to Ft. Hood as a terrorist attack instead of work place violence as he has in the past.
I turned the channel, prefer to get my presidential addresses from you folks.

Made my jaw drop as well.
I think the majority of his gum bumpin was CYA.
His response to SB was weaksauce aside from squawking about guns.
Now that it has been confirmed it was terror related he has a full case of eggs on his face.
He refused to call Ft Hood terror for the longest time, the crawfish on it is curious to say the least.
Curious to see if his "revelation" on Ft Hood changes anything related to that case.

Sit him on a large hog with the rope around his neck. The trough is about 10 feet away and the firing squad is equipped with slop buckets.

If you are treat enough to be on a no fly list than why are you in this country or not in jail?
If you are treat enough to be on a no fly list than why are you in this country or not in jail?
There are a bunch of folks on the 'no-fly list' that shouldn't be there. There is no 'due process' related to the people on that list. Some bureaucrat puts you on the list and takes your rights away.

There is no "Due Process" to being placed on any watch list. It is hard to imagine any competent jurist removing a Constitutionally protected right without affording a citizen Due Process under the law.

Bingo!! And even if this were the law it would not have stopped SB. They both just six months earlier flew into our country. Why is this even being pushed?[Sarcasm2]

Spot on. Just another suggestion by politicians who are appealing to people who have an equivalent ignorance as to the cause of violence.
Every time another crime is committed with a firearm that was purchased legally I am reminded of how unnecessary and ineffectual the laws already imposed on us are. Does that mean anything to progressives? Absolutely not. They double down on the same failed effort.
I take hope from the response of Americans when they respond to the progressive logic and rhetoric with more fun purchases. I read a story that said that enough guns were purchased on Black Friday to equip the entire USMC and four Army divisions. Way to go America!
If you are treat enough to be on a no fly list than why are you in this country or not in jail?
My dad was once prevented from purchasing airline tickets. He called some where and was informed that if you jumbled up the letters in his name, it spelled some other name that was on the no fly list or something. He was able to purchase tickets after the phone call. It's been a few years, so I'll have to ask him about it again. He has the same name as me.
Do you think shit for brains really believes that gun owners would actually go Muslim hunting? I think he only says that shit so he can amp up the Muslims into believing they are actually being hunted. I have nothing against Muslims unless they are hunting me and then yes I will shoot back.
Jug-eared gum-bumper - that has a nice flow to it - thanks Bert
I didn't watch the speech so I got nothing else.

Hold a lottery. Half of all proceeds go to the survivors, the remaining half is divvied up between the active duty healthcare system and MWR. Each survivor of the actual attack gets 10 free tickets, each family member of a deceased casualty gets 5 free tickets, each family member of a wounded service member gets a free ticket.
Sell the television rights on par with Super Bowl commercials (i.e., $X million per minute) except AFN gets free video (live, streaming, and canned).
That should fund MWR for the next 10 years.

Straw-man, plain and simple. Obummer wants more that good ol "feel good" "common sense" [insert liberal buzzword here] gun control. Creating a problem where it doesn't exist. The No-fly list law wouldn't have stopped this, as both weren't on it. Also, they used "evil assault weapons" that weren't legal in CA... So tell me again, liberals, what law would have stopped this? We all know and understand, the answer is a resounding NONE! And did I watch the speech last night? No. If I wanted to see someone tell a bunch of BS and lies, I'd go talk to one of our in-custody defendants at work.

Well i did. Honestly i feel he did a decent job. OUTSIDE the usual gun rhetoric . Hell, He actually said Terrorism numerous times, without choking on his words. It was painful for him to say TERRORISM but he did.

Agreed. Whether you agree with him or like him or not, he's got to be just as sick of talking about guns as we are hearing about them. If he had jumped onto the healthy eating bandwagon with his wife, he might have less gray hair now.
I'm curious if his sudden use of the word terrorism is linked to other plans he has. Somehow link that with "assault" weapon ownership or pro 2a speech and use it as reason to confiscate guns in the name of domestic terrorism. Just a little tin foil to start the week.

I think it's probably more likely that with the San Bernardino thing, there just isn't anything else to call it anymore that people will buy. He can't afford to call it anything else when EVERYONE else is calling it terrorism; end of term or not.

He could. However it would put HRC in an interesting position regarding her stance on terrorism. She supports increased efforts regarding support & military personal overseas, she alienates more of the left. She comes out disagreeing with BHO, she knows Jarret would really shovel her dirt in public.
He had to go on the air to tell everyone that he has this terrorist thing under control in an attempt to put his finger in the dike. (I may or may not be talking about Hillary) I believe his speech can be directly tied to the fact that as a result of the Paris attacks France's recent elections went heavily to the right. I'm sure his democrap advisers told him they stand a huge chance of loosing more seats in the next election here if he doesn't appear strong against terrorism.
Here's what I'm sure he thought he said: "My fellow Americans rest assured I have this terrorist thing under control, so don't vote republican. Oh and be sure to turn in all your guns for proper disposal. That is all, good night".
