The only time I really pay attention to anyone in Hollywood's stance on politics is when it comes up here, so I had no idea of Kurt Russell's stance on gun control. I happened to be listening to a podcast where they played an interview between Russell and some Hollywood tool. The soundbite is at the bottom.

I think I'll go watch "Big trouble in little China" now...
Thanks for sharing. That was pretty damn funny. Here's the link for the audio. https://youtu.be/UMbAU5C5Ra8
Last time I read about Russell's pro-gun stance, I also learned that he had a regular charity hunting event where the meat was donated to the needy.
He seems like a rational guy. I'm of the same view that I can't fathom how people get the impression that removing guns from law abiding citizens changes the mindset of evil people.

What a great response. Are you going to take away cars, are you going to take away knifes? They have killed people with those things two haven't they? Do you really think you can stop people hell bent on killing other people? This reporter had no idea what he was walking himself into and had no good answer for what Russell said and I think he was waiting for Russell to lay down and play nice and Russell just decided he wasn't going to go through another interview like that. GOOD FOR HIM !!!!!! I don't go out to movies but I just might bye a ticket, rent at the store and online just to support Kurt's pocket book for standing against anti's in a land that doesn't like that at all. When talking about guns I think we all need to bring into the discussion if you are allowed to own one you should be allowed to carry it concealed without any other forms to fill out so people get used to hearing this.
It sounded like Russell handled that about as well as possible. Respectful, no name calling, and the interview ended. I hope I conduct myself as well as that when I encounter those I disagree with.

This isn't the first time he's said something like this ... Kurt Russell has long been a pro-gun, somewhat right leaning libertarian.
I think Kurt Russell has been down this road before. I imagine with the push back Tarantino is getting from his anti police statement Kurt has most likely been attacked form both sides of the gun issue just for being in The Hateful Eight. Now I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to line Kurt's pockets without Tarantino getting a dime.

You and I probably don't see eye to eye on everything and you've never been rude or disrespectful to me.

I showed this to my wife last night and she cheered! She always liked Kurt anyway.
Maybe we could get one of those celebrity death match claymation things with Kurt Russell vs Liam Neeson.
Kinda funny think Netflix stalking me like Google. Got on and escape from l.a. was featured.
That was awesome. I've always liked KR.

Rent or buy "Escape from New York", "Escape from L.A.", "Big Trouble in Little China", "Stargate", or even "The Computer Who Wore Tennis Shoes" -- they were all done by better directors anyway ...

Kurt has a place in Aspen that he spends lot of time at. My buddy is his estate manager. Great guy, a man's man.
