View Full Version : Bernie V. the DNC
Given the latest news, how cool would it be if Bernie went rogue and ran as an independent against Hitlary? At that point, the Republicans could run a gallon of dried up house paint, and still win...

Washington (CNN)Bernie Sanders' campaign on Friday threatened to take the Democratic National Committee to federal court if the party organization doesn't restore access to a crucial voter database. The internal warfare exploded after the DNC cut off Sanders from the database and said the Vermont senator's presidential campaign exploited a software error to improperly access confidential voter information collected by Hillary Clinton's team.
The revelation poses a setback for Sanders, who is mounting a liberal challenge to the former secretary of state. The DNC database is a goldmine of information about voters and being blocked from it could complicate Sanders' outreach efforts. The timing is also challenging, just weeks before Clinton and Sanders are slated to compete in the Iowa caucuses.
LOL - the GOP would find a way to weasel out of the win.

at this point WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MATTER?
Trump or carson runs as a 3rd party. The Bern will gracefully concede to hitlery, in the name of Party Unity... Progressive Uber Alles.
Another election cycle where the R's once again, snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory
I'm still appalled at how much support Trump is getting from the Right. Do they not remember that Trump only does what benefits Trump? He gave money to both Hitlery and Chucky Schumer. In my eyes, he's not a conservative, he's just an ass that does whatever he thinks will get him more money, or in this case, more supporters.
I'm surprised at how popular Bernie is, considering he's an out and out socialist. He seriously still says weather is a bigger problem than ISIS, Nuclear Iran, AND an ever increasing aggressive Russia. What an idiot.
Trump is a klinton plant to roll the GOP, I don't know why, there are plenty of RINOs rolling the GOP right now.
I an not surprised when I see a bernie sticker on a car, I'm surprised I don't see more of them.

He's democratic socialist. ;) I see A LOT of support for him on social media and it doesn't surprise me with how elections are won these days (young voters via social media with a catch slogan/meme). Throw in the usual suspects and it's hard to win for a conservative. They want a utopia of fun and doing whatever feels good without having to think.

I'd rather see the Bern in office than Hillary. With Bernie, there's no surprises what direction he want's to go. HRC??

If either gets elected we're screwed. For the reasons you state. Bern will do his best to make us a socialist country, HRC? Who knows what she'd do, and that's what's so scary.
I know it's one poll but this reflects the amount of support I see on social media for Bernie.

We are SO fucked...

Maybe not. I remember back in 2008 there was some nobody running in the Dem primary, and everyone thought "Hillary is going to win for sure..." And she got rubbed out and that inexperienced Kenyan Senator got the (D) nomination. Everyone now is pumped up for Bernie, and I somehow don't think the Democraps will allow any of that nonsense. They owe Hillary the office after '08.

Interesting times indeed.
None of the "progressive" types I know are planning on voting for Clinton. I suspect if she were to get the nomination however, they'd tow the party line just to keep whoever runs for the other side out of office. On the other hand the prospect of Trump becoming president has them making plans to move to Canada.

The only important part about the (D) primary is the way the candidate is selected - and it isn't a simple popular vote. THAT is why Bernie doesn't have a chance. Hillary had the primary won almost a year ago.
ETA: Similar things will play out for Republicans. Carson has (had?) some popularity among a very specific set of voters, but he has no infrastructure to support it. Cruz and Bush are the only two candidates with any real amount of political infrastructure to win a primary the traditional way and then be successful in a national election. I have no idea how much caucus support Trump has in terms of delegates, but he's smart enough to understand how the system works.

That's never stopped anybody before.
