RICHMOND — Attorney General Mark R. Herring (D) plans to announce Tuesday that Virginia will no longer recognize concealed carry handgun permits from 25 states that have reciprocity agreements with the commonwealth.The move also means Virginians with a history of stalking, drug dealing or inpatient mental-health treatment cannot obtain a permit in a state with comparatively lax laws and carry a handgun legally at home.

I just saw this and makes no sense. VA has the easiest process for CCW PERMIT. Take an online test and then it's mailed to the person. That's it.

I have family back there so I travel there often. I don't think they have ever excepted CO permits, but that is why I have a Florida CCW as well. I guess they don't except those now either.[pileoshit]
