Alright! :)

i suffer from sunlight deprivation so this time of year I'm especially cranky, i always look forward to winter solstice and increasing daylight even if it is just 4 seconds worth. :)

I hope it doesn't screw with my sleep patterns.

Time to drag out the blackout curtains for the bedroom!

Are the extra four seconds at the beginning of the day, or the end? [Coffee]

So you're using the sunlight defense for Usually Cranky. Good to know.

I've been on the 12a-8a shift at work for a bit now, I'm definitely grumpier than normal when I don't see much sunlight. I can't get off this shift fast enough.

Will be weird in Alaska.
Where I will be, I will gain over 6 minutes a day.
I will also get about 40 minutes more sun a year than here over the course of a year.

:) The end, the sunrise will continue to get later until January 12th. :)

Yes, the best defense is "curmudgeon".

You'll also get 6 months of a dusk . That snowfall and artic low means something entirely different in AK.
I know minnesota has some big skeeters. In AK they're big enough to fuk a turkey on all fours. There's an up side to AK living, unfortunately i'm too old where anything colder then 40 deg, puts a damper in my day.

The skeeter is the minnesota state bird. In AK they're big enough to fuk a turkey on all fours. There's an up side to AK living, unfortunately i'm too old where anything colder then 40 deg, puts a damper in my day.

Fixed it for ya!

We're heading the right direction now, and that's a good thing. Too bad there are several months of potentially shitty weather to go through first though.

Eventually I WILL be living in a more temperate climate, and I'm looking forward to it.

Brother drove down to Texas today. They saw a high of 82 degrees.

I love summer in the mountains so I'll put up with winter.

The sun seems very low on the horizon during mid day here. It was getting dark at 4pm there for a while. Now it's getting dark at like 4:05pm. Winter sucks everywhere...just not as cold here.
