As Stag is one of the few companies that truly caters to lefties, I'm sad to see this.

New Britain-based Stag Arms LLC pleaded guilty Tuesday to violating federal firearms laws and as part of a plea agreement president and owner Mark Malkowski agreed to sell the company and have no further ownership or management role in a gun manufacturer.

Malkowski pleaded guilty on behalf of the company in federal court in Hartford to a felony count of possession of machine guns not registered to the company.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is also revoking Stag's federal license to manufacture firearms, although the company can continue to produce firearms while it is pursuing a sale if ATF is satisfied with its efforts to find a new owner. The new owner would have to seek a new license.

Man that sucks, I own a stag arms rifle. Wonder why he didn't file the right paperwork? Group buy, j/k!

Unless they get a new buyer I'll be left with a paperweight when my lefty-specific parts break.

They'll get new owners and keep on trucking. Hell, maybe the Freedom Group will pick them up.

Sheesh. I guess it costs too much to have an internal audit group?

The first AR-15 I put together was a Stag lower.

I saw a article today where it looks like they already may have a buyer(s) lined up and Malkowski is going to be head of marketing (non management position but still involved in the company). Sounds like he may have screwed up and became a sacrificial lamb, however the company will probably continue as before.
