Seems it may have an evil 3rd pin. FYI if you have one:

I knew a guy that had to send an AK back because of an extra pin.

So what happens if you somehow don't get notified, and don't send it back..... just asking for a guy I know of course.

The guy I knew actually got a letter from the ATF stating what the "defect" was and that the weapon never should have made it in to the country let alone have been sold. I imagine they tracked it from the importer, to the distributor, to the dealer, and then to him.

I'm guessing if you get a letter like this the importance of turning it back in gets a little higher priority on your end.

Otherwise, if you weren't notified in some manner and we're just unaware of the recall then how would you know it needed to go back?

Just saying because he might be moving to a state up north real soon where FTF transfers are legal, and how would he ever know..........

You're referring to the stamped MAK-90 underfolders. They were imported with a thumbhole stock and an under folder along with 3 mags, etc

The ATF will start at mfg to vendor, to ffl, to original purchaser. If it was traded in or sold through a FFL, on to the next lucky contestant. IF the trail stops at original buyer. That person better have a good lawyer, OR some way to recover said item, as the ATF will hint at prosecution of said now illegal item.

The way the political winds are blowing. Any chance the ATF in conjunction with this administration, will do any and everything to peruse firearms that will make headlines, in favor of tighter gun control. If not outright confiscation of.

You're or your friend are adults. Do what you think is right.

Totally makes it deadlier. Nobody needs a third pin. The Founding Fathers never could have envisioned a Galil with 3 pins.

I'd like to take this moment to again blame icky Commie guns and millimeters.

This would have never happened with ARs in .223.

When you inform SJW's one who could afford a cannon could own one, during the time frame the Constitution was done. [panic]
3rd pins, a whole nother ball game. It's really a worthless design when you realize we live in a state where only 15 round mags are now permitted to be sold. 10 in other less fortunate states

If I had a third pin I'd try to find some sort of part to put on it. Just seems odd having a pin that serves no purpose.
