Any recommendations on worthwhile rifle ranges near Montrose/Ridgeway would be appreciated. Not BLM land, I'm looking for an "established" range.
Google search turned up Chief Ouray Gun Club, which looks like in maxes out at 100y, and I would like more than that. Also, Google turned up Valhalla, and then a Coyboy Action range, both not really what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance!

In Montrose, never been there myself but heard good things about it
They run IDPA matches there as well.

That's the "cowboy action" place I was thinking about in my OP. Do you know if they have a rifle range? The website pix make it look like it's exclusively CA.

Pauls range isn't really set up for rifle. Pistol only. I have shot a lot of matches over there.
He used to host the Rocky Mountain Stockgun Championship and the American Handgunner.
It has also hosted a few IDPA State Mathces as well.

I've wanted to check this place out:

I've driven past it several times while traveling between Montrose and Gunnison. It looks nice from the highway and it seems reasonable from the website.
San Juan has a rifle range across the road. Not super long range though.
Stengel's Range is admittedly not Montrose but within easy driving distance. A nice range with covered pistol and covered 100 yard berms. It also has a range that has berms from 50 yards to 300 yard with concrete benches. They just recently installed a 1000 yard range with target pits. Finally they host the annual Friends of Billy Dixon shoot with steel targets out at 1500yds plus. I believe there is a target stand for paper targets with a benchrest at 1350 yds.

Thanks to all who have responded to my OP. Lots of good information posted up now that escaped my earlier Google searches.
