I need to build some mag pouches.
Not all guns or magazines ever get to be popular enough to have bluegun molds made for them.
I know that many mags are the same size across brands. The mag release holes may not work, but I am only concerned about dimensions for the molding process.
If you could post which ones you know are interchangeable. If you really want to be helpfull you can break out your reloading calipers and measure your different brand of mags for me. If you could list which mag and the dimensions that would be great.
thanks.
I would for sure like to know the dimensions of the sig p320 mags and if you know what other mags might be similar.
That's the nice thing about leather. You get it pretty close and a variety of different ones should fit. I have a double mag pouch from a high end leather company and have used it for many different double stack 9mm magazines with good results. It has a tension adjustment that helps a bit.

I have kydex pouches that work with glock, M9 and XD mags. I think you can only make a double stack magazine so many ways. of course there is lots of weird stuff out there to prove me wrong.
I saw a thread somewhere on another forum a while back with lots of good info. Can't recall the subject matter exactly but I was looking at taking some common S&W magazines and modifying them to fit something else I had that had rare, expensive magazines. There were lots of photos and measurements from lots of people of various handgun magazines. Some really good info. If I can find it again I'll forward you the link.
I don't know if your are asking for specific dimensions for each mag? Here is some compatibility info that I have specific knowledge of. For the purpose of this info I am talking only in girth because lengths are all over the board.
Aside from the 42, 43 and 36 all other Glock mags are two sizes in girth, the large 45/10 and smaller 9/40/357. The KelTec Sub2K's in 9 have the Glock model and the other model uses S&W 59 series, Beretta 92 and Sig 226 mags with just a mag release button change. That would indicate they are dimensionally similar. Almost all of my 380's use a similar sized mag in girth: KelTec, Mustang, Kahr, Diamondback so most others should be as well. The Bulgarian, Russian, East German Makarov's along with the Polish P-64 single stacks are also similar. The Colt 1903, Walther PP and Mauser 1914 in 32 auto are also similar in girth. Obviously all 1911's are similar, but single stack 40's and 10mm's are very close. I use leather 1911 pouches for the single stacks in 9, 40 and 10 when I carry them. The 9's are a little loose.
I have mags for XD's in 9, 40, 45 and Browning Hi Power, but would have to dig them out to measure. I can also give you the dimensions for the Glock 42, 43 and 36 when I dig them out. If you need more specific info on any mag listed above let me know.

The Sig 220 single stack magazines are the same dimensions as 1911 magazines. However, the 10mm variant when fully loaded has a different geometry than the .45 ACP. You can pull the 10mm mag straight out like a conventional .45 magazine, but you have to rock it into the mag carrier instead of just sticking it in. I know these things because I had a Kydex mag carrier made that can handle my Wilson .45 ACP mags, my Sig 220 .45 & 10mm mags, and my Tripp 1911 10mm mags interchangeably.
I have P250 magazines which are the same size and can be used in the P320.
They are .75" wide and 1.25" deep regardless of the capacity. The full size is 5" compact is 4.3" and subcompact 4"
You are welcome to borrow some to use for molding. I have a few extra in each size. Just let me know.

Thanks everyone. I will take all the information you can post. It would be nice if I could just buy the molds, but only the most popular get made and or stocked.

Same size as pretty much any double stack sig mags I can think of - P226/P229/SP2022, etc.
Odd one here might be the P938, which is is 11mm x 31mm x 80mm long without baseplate.
In .45 ACP, Kimber Ten II, Para Ordnance P14/P15, and Walther PPQ .45 have the same external dimensions.
