It's an interesting perceptual phenomenon that I had never heard of until today. A quick youtube search brought up a ton of stuff like this video:

***Definitely use headphones to get the full effect***

It's really weird, but I have been getting the "spine tingle" effect on certain sounds. And yes, I have absolutely nothing better to be doing at work.

I get tired of the bickering on here, sometimes you just gotta throw something completely out of left field to change it up.

Man I want to bitch slap whoever did that. The constant smacking of her tongue and lips. Couldn't take more than 15 seconds.

Doubt her boy or girlfriend has an issue with it.

"Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neologism) for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensation_(psychology)) in the head (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head), scalp (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalp),back (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_back), or peripheral regions of the body (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limb_(anatomy)) in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olfactory), or cognitive stimuli."

Meh, fluff, puff and puppy dog stuff.

Carry on, I will find something interesting to bicker about in another thread.

Go watch some old Bob Ross videos, the PBS painter guy with the Bozo hair. It's a weird phenomena, happens to me too. Haven't watched the video in the OP but have seen others from that woman. The whole thing is... Weird.

I stumbled across the "ASMR" videos on youtube while looking for videos to help me fall asleep after night shift.

It's all a little weird and a lot of them are role plays, which makes it all seem a little shady to admit to watching them. I can't stand the mouth sounds like the posted video but there is something relaxing about it.

To each their own.

No kidding. It's difficult to be stressed out with him painting and speaking softly. Another old PBS guy that I found relaxing was Justin Wilson. He reminded me of my mom's dad.

I'm not a fan of the mouth sounds. I have people from another continent sitting in the cubicles next to me and they chew their food with their mouths open. I have to grab my noise cancelling headphones right away.

I'm going to put on a hoodie and make a video like this and see if I can get over a quarter million views. It will be me softly belching, scratching myself (both on cotton and denim), racking the slide on various pistols, cleaning barrels, crushing beer cans, texting, yawning, etc.

I think it will be a real hit with the ladies.
