View Full Version : Glad I finally joined up here

Just thought I would say hi to folks on here.
I met another member on Wed evening in a trade. It was great dealing with him and honest guy. Something I have come to enjoy about all of us gun owners. 99% are great folks.

As for me, I was in the Navy and I was a Gunner's Mate. I did 4 years and glad I served. I am now working as a field service tech on transformers for a local company. We travel all over, so I am hit or miss being home. Thanks god my wife is proactive about her saftey along with the kids.

I am an avid shooter, not necessarily any comps or ranges I frequent, but I have property near Fairplay I go to often so no one can bug me or deal with unsafe people. I have a couple ARs and my wife has her own. All my kids love ot go shooting and all are excellent shoters so far. 12,11 and 8.

I guess I have taught them well on gun safety as their grandfather left his gun with me and they found (after camping we bailed quick since it was downpouring) and unloaded the pistol and brought to me. I was very proud of them. Something all kids should know how to do , not just gun owner's children.
Anyway, if any members in the Metro area ever needs help, Im an email away and dont mind lending a helping hand.

Thanks, hoping to get to shoot with more locals much more often.

If I am in town, I will be there. I would have made the shoot and clean up at Rampart where it was CO-AR15 and ARFcom. I saw pics and thought the fog was kinda neat.

When is the next shoot or does it need to be organized?

Now THAT is a hell of a wife! While I haven't quite convinced my wife that she should get an AR (yet), we did get her a .45ACP (her choice) about 7 months before I got one.

My wife wants a SA Loaded 1911. THen we would have his and hers SA Loadeds. She loves the .45 ACP round, but wont let me sell her G23. Go figure.

I am hoping to make a shoot one of these days, like you I am hit or miss with being here for them.

Made one on ARFcom and that was fun. [M2]
