I don't really see the point. He's not gonna care and the membership money can't be used for lobbying or other political ends. Frankly, I don't think it's a good idea at all. Does this guy really think people are going to see a "mailman with bags of NRA I'd rather see a:

"Don't Donate to the NRA...Donate to the NRA/ILA" instead. Or, buy someone a membership who may encourage others to join rather than wasting money on some feel-good/do-nothing campaign against Bloomberg.

Yeah.... this. The NRA - ILA is really the organization that fights political battles. Membership dues do not contribute to the ILA at all.

That being said, if an individual could legally donate to the NRA - ILA in Bloomberg's name, that would be hilarious. How funny would it be if a story surfaced showing that Bloomberg had donated several thousand dollars to the ILA over the past few years? :D
