View Full Version : Help me identify these reloading components

I recently purchased a bunch of reloading stuff on here and there are a few items that I'm just not familiar with. Can you guys help me identify them? Almost everything is RCBS with the exception of the red thing from MEC and a Lyman shell holder.

I think this first batch of photos is all shotgun reloading stuff. The first appears to be a powder tube, but it is more than twice as tall as the RCBS Uniflow measure.

The metal shaft on the left fits into the metal cylinder on the right. I've got several of the piece on the left, and one is currently installed in the piece on the right. Is this some sort of bullet puller?

These two were stored together. That bullet fits perfectly into that hole in the RCBS metal thing, but I don't know if that is just a coincidence or not.

What is this powder that sits on top of the case prep station?

Lastly, how do you clean a case lube pad?

first photo, primer catch trays for a RCBS rock chucker most likely.

third photo, shotgun shell stacker for inserting into boxes.

four looks like shotgun reloading bushings, but that is just a guess.

five bullet puller might be right?

six, primer holder/cam for priming, just a guess though.

seven, dry bullet/brass lube? i'm guessing again though.

Didn't even think those might be primer catch trays, good thinking.

Who uses case lube pads anymore ?

Regarding everything else. Using the internet SEARCH function. You can locate every reloading press mfg press parts list, exploded view of the press ;)

What's the O.D of the plastic powder tubes? I'm interested in 1 for a project.

Fourth - top - shotgun bushings for powder and shot drops. bottom - shotgun shell crimpers

Powder tube in 1 looks just like the ones on the old Baer powder measures. Fifth is A lee hand priming tool part. Fourth is a part from a Lyman case trimmer. The powder is dry case neck lube. Now you know everything.

Do you have four and five mixed up?

Thank you everyone. Very helpful.

#5 is the collet part for a Forster case trimmer. Do you have any pilots for a .223? I need one. Well, since you didn't know what it was, I'll give you $5 for the lot.....

I have a ton of pilots for the RCBS case trimmer, but the smallest one is #24 and it seems a bit too big for .223, but I haven't really tried yet. I do have more of those collets if you're interested. Well, one of the black part, and maybe three of the silver parts.

Thanks Stu. I'm good on collets since that Forster deal can hold multiple case sizes with the same collet insert. You got a ton of stuff in that deal!

The powder and shot bushings and crimp starters in photo #4 lead me to believe that the plastic tube in photo #1 is a old style shot or powder tube for a Ponsness-Warren progressive press. Most of these tubes got replaced when P-W came out with the low profile ones.

We are all misidentifying the tube. It is obviously the tube the squirrel used to chew your nuts.
