View Full Version : e-file issues
Is it just me or is anyone else having issues trying to e-file. I cant get the web site to fully load so I can register to e-File. I really don't want to have to fill out the form by hand. I lazy, any help or thoughts on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

I'm sure there is going to be a lot of issues with it as a lot of people are filing forms right now. Too much traffic on the website causing issues.
Probably at least some volume issues--people are making the most of the 180 days they have been given. What browser are you using? Pretty sure IE is the only one that works well with the eFile site, so if you are using something else you might want to try that first.

This is the main issue. Right now If i were to do another F1, i'd mail it. They seem to be running 20-30 days shorter for approval. Don't forget they shut down on wednesdays for "maintenance ". My best results for e-filing was after 10 at night and by 6 in the morning.
If you are running Internet Explorer 10- I don't know ka-ka about computer stuff but it kinda sounds like a problem I had when I first tried to get on E-file with Internet Explorer.
I had to set the compatability settings. Get on the ATF Online website with Explorer. In the Explorer tool bar click Tools. Find the Compatibility View Settings and click it. Click on the ADD button. This will add the ATF Online website in the added website box. It should work fine. This doesn't change anything else but the ATF site.
Good Luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Don't be lazy and spend the whole 5 minutes doing it on paper. You will spend 20-30 trying to E-file and it will take longer for approval.

I know I should stop being lazy. Maybe one day

I use Chrome. Works great. Not so much on other sites sometimes, but zero issues on e-file.

Yea, I think Wed is the worst day. Evenings seem to be the worst.

After you've done a few, they don't take that long to e-file. More so if you leave a few in draft. :D I'm sure you're right about the longer approval times.

i'M going to wait till after 7/1/16. They've had my prints and pic from the pre-trust days. Way back when paper filing took maybe 60 days, from time mailed, if that ;)

Personally engraved by Hiram himself. Think my wife still has the tintype of him presenting the gun to me.
Here he is explaining the procedure to charge the gun.. .
