View Full Version : SOTU- or the show no one watches anymore
Just curious if anyone watched it last night. I made it about 30-35 min in and was about to throw something at the TV... So I put on Ep2 of "Making a Murderer." Once the anointed one started in on Climate Change (you could see old Bernie getting excited- barely) and speaking condescendingly to "deniers" I had had enough. Thankfully it was his last one ever. The guy is so narcissistic that he still believes that Obamacare isn't a complete failure. [facepalm]

I sure hope it is last one. Even if it is his last one that wouldn't mean his has left office. I'll believe he's gone when someone else has taken the oath.
Nope, but heard a little on radio this morning and it went as I guessed it would. He touted a list of his "accomplishments" even though he didn't really fix anything in 7 years.
I did not listen to it. I knew I'd hear all of his deceit torn apart during the morning shows I listen to. Obama cannot leave office soon enough to suit me.

You know, I already had a headache when I went home. No way was I going to risk making it worse. :D
Obama cannot leave office soon enough to suit me.
This is a nice boat we've found ourselves in...
I just hope and pray that we don't end up with Bern or Hitlery in office next year... If things go south with the FBI/Hill matter and the Dems get Bernie, I fear so many of the "I'll never vote (R)" people will just hold their nose and vote for Bernie.

His statement about being disappointed that he couldn't make the political system work better made the remote jump into my hand. I just couldn't take anymore.

I don't watch speeches or debates, or anything else political on TV.
I watched a little bit of the end. I laughed during most of it. Then I cried as I saw all the support on social media for how great of a president he was/is. Then cried even more as I see the huge support for Bernie and the need for some socialism to "fix" our broken system.

I don't have much interest in watching all of the democrats jerk each other off agreeing with everything Obama says, nor do I have any interest in watching all of the republicans jerk each other off by not agreeing with everything Obama says. Plus the incessant applause breaks/standing ovations...it's the very literal definition of political theater in my eyes.

Same here. I gave up on TV "news" or anything beyond simple entertainment, unless there's a major event happening. SOTU or campaign debate bullshit? Please...I'd rather listen to my daughter giggle watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
It was interesting watching the Republican rebuttal. How can she talk when her teeth never get more than 1/8" apart. Feel sorry for her husband.

The only legacy he's leaving the country to remember him by. Is the one of failure.
Failure to protect the country
Failure to mend fences of racial divisiveness. Instead he took the burning cross off the pages of history, reigniting it in 3 urban areas. More if you count the domino effect of PANTS UP. DON'T LOOT.
Failure to admit some folks ain't the upstanding citizens he made them out to be.
Failure to step up, denouncing the vitriol of bomb throwing racist . Who calls for bounties on Law Enforcement heads was answered with a body count of dead LE's.
By a populace who still feels they've been green lighted by this administration from the Justice Dept, to the Offal Office.
Failure to produce a working piece of legislation that would make Health Care.. AFFORDABLE.
Failure to admit Terrorism will not go away, by placating Islam.
Failure to admit his time in office was
A FAILURE.

Sad worthless POS. What is even sadder is that this unbelievable piece of garbage was RELECTED! What does that say about this country? We are the laughing stock in the world community, even most of them realized what a dipstick he is.

If I want to be lied to like that, I'll watch.... hmm, can't think of anything that competes with that level of lying to the public.
Frank Underwood is 100% correct (even if he is fictional): We get the leaders we deserve.
Face it, we deserved Obama, and if things don't change we deserve Hillary or Bernie- if the FSA/SJW folks are able to round up the votes (or the D's steal another election/Repubs lose it for themselves). If this experiment in liberty and self-governance fails, we reaped what we sowed.
Like Lincoln said: "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
Hard to compete with Santa Claus.
"Every nation gets the government it deserves."
