I guess he's checked out of The Hotel California ... wonder if they'll let him leave.

Oh!!!! Really!?

Funny, though.

I didn't care (much) when Bowie went, okay, maybe a little, cause, you know, end of an era... but really? Glenn Frey? I mean, it's like your kids, you're supposed to die first! Right?

Holy Fuuuuuuuuk....
I was looking at some tin signs at the Rocket Fizz in Estes Park last night and saw a concert poster one with The Eagles and looked right at Glenn Fry and hummed Smugglers Blues.

Yet another reminder that I'm getting old.

May you be having a peaceful easy feeling, Mr. Frey. RIP

Well, they always go in threes it seems. Natalie Cole, Bowie and now Frey.

Now 4 in the past few months... I thought these things came in 3s, not fours. Why are all the good ones dying off, but we're stuck with the shite ones (Miley, Beiber, Kanye, Gaga, every last one of those damn Kardashians, etc.)

While I'm sure many of us here enjoyed his music, one thing that hinders my ability to feel any sense of loss is that y'all do realize that he would absolutely hate every singe one of us here. He was a leftard schmuck of the highest order (and apparently a jerk even to people he agreed with).

Its because we're aware of the shite ones because they're still on the radio. There was a lot of crap in the last few decades too ... you're not going to care when people like Fab Morvan, Pablo Cruise, Morris Albert or Rupert Holmes die.

Not to nitpick, but Pablo Cruise wasn't a person. [emoji41]

And Barry Manilow still draws breath. There is no justice.

Yeah--here's ten bucks, bring me the head of Barry Manilow, all right? I wanna drink beer out of his empty head! I wanna have a Barry Manilow skull-keg party at my apartment, okay? You write the songs, we'll drink the beer out of your head. -Dennis Leary

True enthusiast know it was actually not called the Pina Colada Song. It was called Escape!

Besides Rupert Holmes was better with The Bouys singing about canabalism.........anyone know the song?

Not one of my favorites.

For songs telling a story, I'm more partial to Gordon Lightfoot.
