He apparently isn't too haunted by the rifle. Maybe the spirit of the dead soldier will frighten him into lowering his price.

He's just trying the ebay tactic of trying to sell an item with a spiced-up story to entice customers. It'd probably be more effective if he learned to use spellcheck.

I wonder what the ghost does... Talk to him? I might buy it if every time I shoot it I hear one of the following phrases:

"Nice shot! You deserve a vodka."
"Terrible shot! Maybe vodka will help."
"Mikhail Kalashnikov would be proud!"

Actually, I think it's more effective with the bad grammar and spelling errors. It makes the reader assume he's a rube and the uninformed reader may actually think his asking price is a bargain "get rid of it" price. Sometimes it pays to act like you're stupid -- greedy people are the easiest to con.
