Can anybody recommend a good and complete pistol/ tactical training instructor /course?
Thanks,
Ronin Tactics is here in the Springs. Good instructor with about the best resume you can hope for.

Yup yup.

Another "yes" from me. Lots of good shooters out there, but not many that can teach as well as they shoot. RW is solid.

Never shot with Tu at Ronin, but I know quite a few people who have and they have very positive comments.
I have shot with RW, been shooting with him since 2003. I always learn something from him. From basic stuff to room clearing, moving and shooting, etc., he is solid.

I've attended some of farnam's courses. I know of and hear nothing but positive things about R.W. IF it was me, I'd go with R.W. Farnam's good. However with R.W, he's local[er] and classes are more accessible, throughout the year.

Took the precision course with Rob in November. Great course if you are new to long range.
Looking forward to taking some classes with Tu this summer.

I have nothing but respect for RW, having gone to the farm and watched (last week) the bowling pin match at bristlecone. i wouldn't hesitate to take instruction from him
I'll put in my vote for SSV. https://www.facebook.com/SSVGRP/
I've taken a couple courses with them, though it was a few years ago. But it was great training, and a good environment. They have a pistol course coming up April 9th and 10th, which I think I might sign up for.

Kelly is a great instructor, always able to provide constructive feedback on perrformance, posture, etc and make sure you're able to operate well with the concepts he trains you in.

+1..
I've taken classes with Kelly/SSV as well as with RW at the farm..
For "tactical Pistol" training I have to say that Kelly/SSV Group is the winner hands down. I plan on taking his pistol class this spring again for a 2nd time, last time I took it was 2 seasons ago and I need a refresher.
Be sure to check out his tactical carbine class as well.
+2 for Kelly (KellyTTE on this board) who runs the SSV Group. Solid instruction at a reasonable price. I've attended several of his classes and will do so again in 2016.

I'd say shooting fundamentals and weapon manipulations start with RW, further advanced with SSV Group where you will get a professional 2 days training at a affordable rate.
Ronin's CQB classes are really intense for a beginner or intermediate shooter, more experienced shooters will suit them well.

Big +1 for Kelly/SSV. Worked with him several times and have always improved as a result of his tutelage.

[facepalm]Knew i forgot another local qualified instructor, Kelly of SSV.
Can't go wrong with Kelly. He's very thorough, patient, and pushes all his students. I am taking his April class and I believe there are still a few slots left. Regardless of skill level you will learn something, and it's not one of those classes where you leave feeling like you just wasted ammo. He gives you drills that you can practice on your own.
Kelly with TTE is a solid instructor. Located here in the Aurora area. Top shelf instructor!

Another +1 for Kelly. I have taken his pistol and rifle classes and want to take the other two he offers pending my work schedule. He is working with some like minded instructors to distill out the unwanted and unneeded "techniques" and getting back to what works. Really made sense to me with the martial arts training I have taken.
He also teaches his classes as a fund raiser for the young men and women shooting team at the Air Force Academy.
As with instructors and firearms you can never have enough. There is something to learn from most everyone and we are fortunate to have many to choose from. Nothing says you have to learn from just one.

I second this also. Took the rifle course last year and plan on taking a couple more classes this year. Kelly is a great instructor and gets you to where you should/need to be. He even answered a bunch of my questions on other things a few days after the class. He's not doing it for the money either so you see the genuine teaching in play. The money goes to the Air Force Academy shooting team so you help out another great cause while getting educated. Win/win.

Thank you Kazoo for being the one to FINALLY post a link. Even though my Google-Fu is strong, "RW" wasn't enough to go on. Note all the "Ditto, RW is good" postings didn't help one iota.
Folks, if you're going to recommend someone (or something, or somewhere, etc.), supply a link.
