I shipped my 1050 to Dillon Friday from the Loveland UPS distribution center. Dillon contacted me today and told me my box of bubble wrap arrived. And ,no, with the size box, short handling time frame, and a dumb ass, I didn't insure it.
If if anyone sees one for sale, let me know.

Sorry to hear that, now you get the fun of opening up a claim. Unless it's 50lbs of bubble wrap, it shouldn't be too bad, since they would have weighed the package when they accepted it.
That sucks on so many levels. Sorry man.

Sorry to hear, I'm frustrated for you, because insurance really isn't that expensive.
Seems like an inside job on something that large.

Ive parted out three motorcycles and shipped them, among other things, with never an issue. I'll be kicking my own ass for quite awhile over this. Guess I was too distracting thinking about the one charge of powder in the charging bar, that I forgot to manually empty, wondering if some high tech sniffer was going to flag it.
going to be a sleepless night here.

Sorry to hear that Wayne, on the plus side they won't be able to get it working either [Beer] jk. I'll keep my eye out.
Chances are it came out of the box.. call UPS.. open a claim. You're still insured up to $100 for free (i don't think that's changed). Small consolation but they actually have an entire department to hold/store lost shit for claims. You'd be surprised what's there. I've found rolex's back in the day walking belts, a plain envelope that literally had a $40k diamond in it.. I'm sure a dillon will be easy to locate.

my first thought. Second was on the lines of Pulp Fiction when Vega states that catching the guy who keyed his car would almost be worth them keying it. How I feel.

from what Dillon told me today, it seemed it was retaped after they opened it. I will be all over it when I get back in state tomorrow.
That is some bullshit.
Yes it is. If you run into anyone who needs that 41 frame. Sell it.
I feel your pain. I've had stuff with sentimental value stolen from my at one of my jobs. I hate thieves.

Update...sort of. I got a call where they asked for pictures, which Dillon provided of a simialr unit. They stated they would "continue the investigation for 5 more days." I interpreted that to mean they'd wait 5 more days to tell me I'm F*cked. Hope I'm wrong.
