I recent got a 2001 Ford F-150 from a family member they started doing repairs to get it running after an animal chewed through the wiring harness that was repaired by a shop and sent to ford to program the new computer ford wouldn't touch it due to the wires being crimped back together the previous shop didn't put every thing back together does any one happen to know what this is or where it mounts
Cruise control module. Should have a cable that leads out to the throttle body.
Quick google search possibly shows it on the firewall, drivers side, in the corner near the fender

Do you happen to know where it mounts under the hood?
I edited the post above. I was a bit slow there.

Thanks that helps a lot I couldn't figure out what it was used google and a Haynes Manuel.
I previously had 2 '01 Fords and both had recalls on the speed control switch. I would mount it back to the firewall/fender but maybe not hook it up, as they were prone to fires from overheating, even when the ignition was off, unless you know for a fact that it's been replaced.
