**Rocky Elbert Allen, 28 is the tech**

Thanks to an asshole of a surgical technician at Swedish some surgical patients (from Aug 2015-Jan 22, 2016) are at risk of contracting HIV, Hep B or C. My younger son had an emergency appendectomy in Sept. there, waiting to find out if he's impacted by this. I hate druggies, similar to what happened a few years ago at Rose. Both are HealthOne owned but the reality is that it can happen anywhere.

The hospital started sending out letters/calls today. There's a hotline, 303-728-7140, but he can't get through, no surprise.

I hope this is just the hospital being very cautious. I still can't figure out how someone stealing the pain meds from patients would expose them to these potential diseases. Was he/she exchanging drugs in vials/syringes with something else of unknown origin?

That would be terrifying waiting for results. I hope all turns out ok!

Thanks, we're pretty nervous but trying to remain optimistic. In the Rose Hospital case the druggie took a pre-filled syringe, used it, filled the syringe with saline then returned it to be used again. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same/similar.

The hospital learned of this on Feb. 1 at the latest or at least that's when they say they became aware of it. Notifications began on the 3rd. My son got the call late yesterday afternoon to go get tested. My level of anger is off the charts right now. It'll be 7-10 days before results are back.

Why the hell this fuck hasn't been arrested yet is mind boggling. I'd be amazed if he hasn't skipped town.

Both in this one and the other case, they would leave their used needle of a drug in place of the one they are stealing. Why they couldn't stock up on cheap new needles with saline I dont know but that's why they are fucking addicts.

Sorry. Hate to be in circumstances like that. Chances are the tests will come back with good results.... and good results or bad, I anticipate a class action or something similar coming of this, that is a pretty big pool, you could potentially have a claim regardless of the test results.

Already started...it'll go nowhere just like the shit with rose

The class-action should be someone takes out the druggie and the cops turn a blind eye.

Actually HealthOne has paid out a lot over the debacle at Rose. In that case there were people infected by the druggie bitch.
