View Full Version : Light Industrial/Garage Space
Looks like I am going to be looking for a new place to live in the very near future. Housing is not a problem but I have a lot of...stuff. That seems to be the problem to solve.
I'm looking for a usable 2000+ square foot space to turn into a work shop. A space to store 4+ vehicles (inside or out) and a working shop. The shop would be wood, auto, misc. Heat and plumbing a plus. Cost is a definite factor.
Right now, I'm looking around west Denver to Gilpin County. Sounds vague but I don't know WTF I'm going to land.
Ideas?
Dope growers are gonna be tough competitors I betcha. I hear they're causing commercial rents to skyrocket.
Already happened up here.

Yup, I hear this a lot.

It's completely crazy right now. As rondog said, growers are scooping up anything light industrial and don't give a shit what the price is. I've been looking for 5000 sqft of light industrial for about a year now. I refuse to pay $12 sqft for rent. I'd rather buy. Which isn't happening because no one is selling because they are making bank on rent.

Going further east gets easier, but that doesn't sound like what you want.
I've been looking for similar, and am finding decent options out east of I-25, between Brighton and Platteville.
Are you sure you wouldn't consider anything out east or maybe even south? I'm thinking it's less expensive in the counties that aren't embracing the pothead revolution.
Still looking to live in the mountains. I'd like to have my shop within an hour of the house. Might give Idaho Sprs a look.
Ideally, I find a house with a big garage (holding breath) or space to build one.
One idea if you can swing payments is just get a metal prefab put down on some land.
