Im sure you all know this but...

I look at many of these deal sites regularly. You need to make sure whatever you purchase is ACTUALLY a good deal.

Take for instance these binoculars

They state that $149 is 46% off of $279. While that maybe true, nobody sells them for $279.

Right now they are $179 on Amazon, $169 from a reputable dealer on Ebay, $179 from Cabelas, $178 from Optics planet.

So, in this case it is a deal, but I have looked and that is not always the case, so check before you buy.

Then you have to consider, if there is a problem will there be trouble with returns, warranty etc. Cost of shipping, since many other sites have free shipping.

Yup that's what I've noticed I've never purchased anything from them before.

These binoculars were a door buster at cabelas on Black Friday for $99 or $129, I believe... I have a pair and they're decent for that ballpark price, but are terrible compared to my friend Bob's Leica's.

I have bought a ton of stuff from them but it was back when I actually thought they had deals... I think they are kind of slacking on their deals lately or maybe I just haven't looked enough but they have always been good on returns, sizing, phone calls, etc... Good customer service!

So they do the same thing as Kohls?
