in case you are wondering and I know Irving is.... the numbers are... top number is mamas number, main number is the year and birth order. so, first calf of this year. She will get a permanent tag when I work the cows and castrate the bulls in a month.

this one, hopefully not before 10 years or so. My steers will be sold in the fall and I would guess they get slaughtered between 14-17 months. Then they become leather among other things.
