Hello,

My name is Andy. I recently bought a kit from PSA and an Anderson stripped lower from H&H, and with the help of my friend Carey will be assembling my first AR15 in the next week or two. Just trying to read up and learn as much as I can in the mean time. I have a decent amount of pistol experience, and have had my CCW since 2008. I have a few foreign 7.62x39 rifles (mak90, sks, etc) but this will be my first experience with 5.56/.223.

I'm dying for some range time, but not sure when I will be able to get away. Wife is 36 weeks pregenant with our 3rd kid (2nd son) and I got quite the eye roll when I told her I'd be eager to go try out the AR when it gets built.

Finished the build up last Thursday night, wife went into labor Friday morning! Now on the hunt for optics and a flip up rear sight then hopefully some range time in the next couple weeks to get her zeroed in.

I traded a buddy some ammo I had (in a caliber I no longer own a firearm that uses) for an matech flip up rear, so now I'm ready to go punch some paper with my scary black rifle.
