A couple of the buttler creek 25 rounders I have are jamming. The top round will not pop up and jams into the mag feed ramp. Any sugestions on how I can make them work?
Thanks.

Buy ruger mags. I never could "fix" the butler creek mags on my 10/22

They will warrantee them. Of course you're bound by state lines

Is sending mags in for warranty giving up ownership under CO laws?

Round file on the back of the mag. Gives a little more for the bolt to grab, when cycling.

GK,
File to make the round sit higher in the feed lips?

Rear of mag, allows bolt to pick up the round better. Small rat tail file does the trick. This is a beater mag so i used what ever i had on the table to show what is needed.

I'll give that a try.

Also sometimes there is a casting line that interferes with the feed. Since they're not serviceable you can shove the follower down and look and gently file

Butler Creek Hot Lips = BAD
Butler Creek Steel Lips = GOOD

I've had better luck with the plastic, till they finally cracked from being dropped too many times. The ruger BX mags have good reviews.

It's interesting to see how hit and miss 10/22 mags appear to be.

I have had horrible luck with my BX mags, only moderate luck with the BC Hot Lips, and almost no issues with the BC Steel Lips.

The BX mags are somewhat adjustable. IMO a low end copy of the tactical inc mag.

2-pack for $49.99 at Cabela's.

Haven't had a chance to get back to this yet. Stuck patching drywall and having a hard time with the texture patch, anyway.

What's funny is that these are the steel lipped BC mags, and the old plastic lipped set I had was flawless until it wore out.
My BX was having issues too but an online search brought up a 22 case bushing mod between the follower pin and the spring ring. A bit of 600 grit polishing on wear surfaces and it runs smooth now.
