Those of you suppressing your 7.62x39 AKs, what direct thread adapter are you using? The manufacturer has already verified that the threads on the AK I want to suppress are concentric to the bore (US barrel). What thread adapter do you use/recommend? I'd like one that locks using the detent on the FSB so I'm not unscrewing the adapter when I am trying to tighten down the can. I'm looking for a 14x1 LH -> 5/8x24

What can? For the FSB, either rocksett or red LT works. I notched my brake along with indexing it.

No particular can. I just want a plain old direct thread adapter: 14x1 LH -> 5/8x24. There are lots of thread adapters out there but an adapter made for attaching muzzle devices may not be made to the same tolerances needed for a suppressor. I was just curious what people recommended/used for direct threading their cans to their AKs.

i built my own 30 cal. Using a specific brake for that end cap. You should figure out what can you want and see what's offered accessory wise.

Here's a few starters for you to go off of.

Just an update. I wound up using this adapter: http://www.cncwarrior.com/M14x1-LH-to-5-8-24-RH-Muzzle-Thread-Adapter-p/24928.htm

Snugged up nice and locked to the detent pin on the FSB with no wobble. I threaded one of my F1 cans on and no baffle strikes. Guess DDI didn't lie to me and their barrels do have concentric threads. My hole size for a 7.62 can is a little larger than most. I choose to go with a 25/64 (.3906) hole vs the more common 3/8 (.375). So take that into account as I have a little more margin for alignment errors. If you have a combloc barrel have someone like BPTactical validate your threads are concentric to the bore before trying this. I'll need to have him check my Krink one of these days.
