For months I have had a Google drive deal where I store some shit. Tonight I try to access it on my laptop and I get a "Welcome to Drive" blah blah blah page and it shows none of my files, like I've never been there before.

On my tablet and phone (same username/password) all of my files are there like normal. WTF is up?

I admit that I am not the most advanced internet super-g around, but I am confused. Any ideas?

Sounds like your laptop was used by someone else to check their email or something. Log out and try logging in again with your usual user/password combination.

I've run into this before since I have a bunch of different gmail addresses. My solution is using different browser instances. If someone asks to use my computer, I always start a new instance of Chrome using incognito mode as to not disturb my stuff and I don't want to retain their information.

That shit's a mystery to me. In October I did an upgrade to my iPhone and lost all my contacts, every one of them, and neither Verizon nor Apple could help, because I hadn't backed up to iCloud, had no idea what iCloud was.

Couple weeks ago I got a Samsung Galaxy S6. Setting it up to run Chrome and suddenly ALL of my contacts were back! Not only that, but all contacts that I had previously deleted years ago also reappeared.

Pretty awesome to have all that back, but also kinda disturbing that Google had all that when Verizon and Apple told me it was gone forever.
