Veteran Committed Suicide After Call To VA Hotline Went To Voicemail

When they called back "the next day", it was too late.

Seriously? Every time we read this crap, we find out that instead of someone getting fired, they got a bonus and a promotion.

This has reached the point of being a sickness in "our" government.

And Democrats want to make ALL healthcare just like the VA. [facepalm]

The tipping point. I wonder how much friction we got? Don't see us hanging onto any plane for very much longer

I know of another one that can take 2-4 hours to get a call back. It's one of the bigger companies too. It's just underfunded and understaffed. The mental health aspect of health care doesn't get a lot of attention. I may be wrong but I think you're better off calling 9-1-1 or going to the ER.

Not for nothing, but the head of the Senate committee on the VA for the last several years? Bernie Sanders. Now one of campaign platforms is how "its time to help our vets"...Jackass.

I'll be honest. The fact that the American people didn't drag the Clintons out of the white house and string them up from the canopy of a gas station back in '94 kinda proves that we won't rebel until long after its too late.

the VA....

I have been afraid to move for a long time because I have gotten very good care from the VA. At Greeley, Fort Collins and especially at Cheyenne.

I have been to Denver VA and it was horrible.

Today I called Lamar, CO VA clinic and asked them what they can do at their location. They said I would have to go to Denver for everything but the most basic stuff. They said the VA came out with the "Choice" cards for Veterans who live more than 40 miles from a facility....but....nobody takes the "choice" card because the VA isnt getting the Clinics and hospitals paid. So they are fucking over the VETS by not paying the providers.

Yup, all of my Veteran family members have to drive from La Junta to Denver for care, and I've got nothing good to say about the Denver VA hospital. My younger brother is no longer with us, and I don't think the VA was any help with that.

But those admin bastards, illegals, and welfare witches get their checks every payday like clockwork. [Rant1]
