Once again Pikes Peak Practical Shooters and the Pueblo West Sportsmans Assn will host the Rocky Mountain Regional National Sport Shooting Foundation Rimfire Challenge. 24-25 June 2016.

Pueblo West Sportsmans Assn
600 East Loma Drive
Pueblo West CO 81007

9 stages minimum and 220 rounds to complete the match.

5 pistol stages and 4 rifle stages.

Just like in years past, you can shoot either Friday or Saturday. Shooters shooting multiple guns will have to shoot both days.

Friday 24 June will be open squadding with a 10:00 start time.

Saturday 25 June will be formal squadding with a start time of 9:00.

There will also be an optional Precision Rimfire Match.

The past two years have filled up so get your applications in as soon as possible. I don't want to turn anyone away.

I am the match director, hit me up with any questions you might have.

Note to self- get off your ass.

Without a doubt. I don't want to turn people away but I have a cap on how many shooters I can handle.

And $40 is a screaming deal for a regional match.

This is more of a semi auto/pistol match correct? I have a bolt gun, set up for 100-300 yards (or 0-200 depending on how I zero the scope). Probably not ideal for this match correct? its heavy, always wears a bipod.

This generally consist of stages which have 4-8 pieces of steel. Ones a stop plate. You shoot each, from low ready, one round, then stop plate. Five strings. You'll want a semi rifle and pistol. 5 mags is a bonus.
his precision side match would favor your current set up, but I really don't know that much about it.

The main match is tailored around semi auto pistols and rifles.

However the precision side match is perfect for an accurate bolt gun.

Friday is the across the course match Saturday and Sunday are the 600 yard matches. I really need to find a job where I work Monday thru Thursday as I always need to take vacation time to hit any Saturday activities.

The main match is tailed around semi auto pistols and rifles. However the precision side match is perfect for an accurate bolt gun. so there is are two different stages one semi and the other precision? One could just shoot the precision stage?

The precision side match is just one stage. Semi auto and bolt/manual rifles shoot the same stage. You can shoot the side match only if you wish.

The 9 stage main match is mainly aimed at semi autos although revolver, lever and pump guns have been used.

I was hoping Mother nature would be nicer to us, but she isn't going to be this time.

Tomorrow is going to be rainy and/or snowy and Saturday is going to be cold wet and windy.

Rather than be miserable we are going to moves the match to late June. Most likely 24-25 June.

And this will give you more time to find 22 ammo...

Its official.

The new dates are 24-25 June.

Mother Nature will be nicer to us. No snow/mud/30-35 mph winds.

Still have a few slots left.
