View Full Version : Bernie is an Idiot - Take Trucks Off the Road
The jackass is so stupid that he and his supporters don't even understand the simple concepts of "bringing goods to the market" and "final delivery". No one is going build a rail line to your local King Soopers because ALL the texters will be dead after running into and getting hit by trains.....wait a sec...maybe it isn't such a bad idea after all.
Bernie Sanders promises to “take trucks off the road” if elected
In the short clip, which can seen above, Sanders promised to “do great things” if elected president, including “creating a state of the art rail system which takes trucks off the road.”

Only an imbecile would vote for bernie.

Whose going to build it bernie?.
Why the undocumented, now issued drivers license and eligible to vote worker. The "left" sees only unicorns and rainbows. They as others of entitlement mentality couldn't plan past yesterday, let alone next week.
Remember these are some of the people who feel Hunting is horrible, animal abuse and wonder why hunters can't buy their meat at the supermarket. Like everyone else does.
So much fail...so many failed voters.

Well, as soon as everyone is hungry b/c the food can't move, trucks will be back.

He certainly has no clue how transportation works. There used to be lots of rail lines throughout cities, that went through the major commercial areas for train delivery of products.
Notice how those rail lines have long been torn out, the rights of way abandoned? Its too expensive to ship goods loaded onto boxcars. In fact, when is the last time you saw the classic sliding door boxcar on a train? Its costly and labor intensive to load and unload a box car. Its why, together with the efficiencies of ocean transport, we use containers and for the final mile of delivery, we unload the container onto a ... wait for it .... wait for it ... truck.
I think you could have stopped after "Bernie is an idiot."
I think you could have stopped after "Bernie is an idiot."
Yes, yes I could have.
I just can't believe how bernie is plumbing the depths of idiocy...and there are people who, even with all the data available at the fingertips, will still follow him.
The Pied Piper of Hamlin had no problem getting rats to follow him.

This. Containers exist to streamline offloading for bulk goods from rail to ship to rail to TRUCKS for the last mile.
I can't even remember the last time I heard someone even complaining about trucks being on the road. Next he'll vow to fill the holes in Swiss cheese.

Of course he would, it's white.

All the truckers in the US should take a single coordinated day off if he is elected. It would probably cause a market crash.

What truly revolutionized global trade and today's truly low cost of food and goods was the invention and eventual adoption of standardized multi-mode containers.

Is this like the "Nobody buy gas next Tuesday!" posts from Myspace and Facebook? lol

Right on...... Now the most popular commodities shipped by rail are TOFC/COFC, coal, grain and oil products.
For the non-railroaders, TOFC = Trailer on flat car, COFC = Container on flat car.

Yeah, like I saw on the Internet. Let the drones deliver the stuff!

Look at it this way ... there are a bunch of idiots self-identifying themselves as the sludge in the gene pool by wearing Bernie buttons, stickers, and garb. It's good to know who is clearly too stupid to have an intelligent conversation with.

He has no idea how complicated the delivery of fresh food is. I coordinate the routing of 400 loads of beef a week and there's no flipping way it could happen without carriers and damn good truck drivers. That's just delivery to producers and distribution centers, let alone moving that meat to actual markets. What a frigging tool.
I saw a "Bernie 2016" sticker on a Honda Accord today. The guy was driving like a total douche bag ass hat.
If Bernie ends up being the next president, when it's my day to drive his Honda I'm going to blow that bitch up before I give it back to him. You know, I'm bound to get to use it from time to time since he has one and I don't.

Seems fair to me!

I could be off on the numbers, but I believe one of my IT clients said they load about 6000 trucks a day. Much of that is high end meat special cuts/custom aged and destined for fine dining. Fifth(?) largest private fleet in the US.
