This kind of BS is getting really old. I just can't believe the direction this country is headed... umm... err. Should I say it's current state! [Mad]

"This is America."
"Not anymore."

Are you kidding me?

Well I am pretty sure that the officer was just abusing his powers to harass those that he does not agree with.

I don't think this video has anything to do with the current administration at all. You can't blame every person who isn't perfect on the administration that you don't like.

Nope.... but this is the attitude of the current administration.

The video is fucked up, but there are plenty of other places that feel like America should be. Like others have said, one mans fucked up actions do not account for the whole.

As far as the administration is concerned, historically after 8 years of one party being elected, the other party has been elected to office.

I've met so many cops like that recently, must be part of the training or something about the job that attracts the type of people (can't say men anymore) who like to have their own power regardless of justice or truth

Don't you get upset when you can't properly do your job?

Part of a police officers job is to control the situation. People tend to forget that and are quick to jump to the conclusion that an angry cop is just power tripping. I don't get mad when my scanner doesn't work properly because I'm anal about electronics working perfectly every time (okay maybe a little bit of that) but because it prevents me from doing my job correctly.

EDIT: I know that this statement doesn't really fit this particular situation very well, as leaving that sign up isn't really a big deal and having it be there isn't really putting anyone in danger. What I said does fit a lot of other angry officer situations though and should be considered before passing judgment.

It was an abusive power trip on the officers behalf pure and simple. He didn't agree with the poster and he used his position and authority to demand the poster be taken down. He threatened unjustifiable arrest on trumped up charges to re-enforce his position. This officer completely dismissed Constitutional protections to get what he wanted.

Bad cop. No doughnut!

I certainly expect to see and hear about a lot more of this type of behaviour from those entrusted to uphold the law in the coming days.

Plain and simple. That cop was out of line.

This IS America, we have rights and when they are blatantly shutdown then there is something very wrong.

Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Where in the fuck does it say.... Unless a cop is having a bad day, Or said fucking cop can't do his job? At no time for any reason should these rights be violated.

I wasn't suggesting that this was acceptable behavior, just FYI.

I have to believe that if it were me I would have ignored the cop and let him bust me for "trespassing", then I would get the video and give it to Fox news and my attorney and had him and his department for lunch.

I think you'd lose credibility and look like a plant if you gave it to Fox News.

Are you that blind or just pulling my chain?
Come on, if u missed everyhing in the last 18 months, maybe u need to watch Glen Becks episodes from this past week to see his commie buddies he has surrounded himself with.
This administration owns the police unions and many others.
You expect me to believe that Obama is not a commie and did not agree with the ideas of all the commies he associated with in the past and currently. I have some sweet ocean front property to sell u in AZ and some great dry land to sell you in south FL.
