Long story short my C&R renewal was due 3/1, I'm going to call the ATF tomorrow but would like to hear before hand how much of a pia this is going to be, after all it is the ATF.

Make a new application. Also, read up on what happens to your record book now that your license expired. [Coffee]

Never used it so my A&D is empty. According to the renewal app I dont have to send them my record book.

Correct, C&R holders keep their A&D "book" if they choose not renew or discontinue their collecting.
