Does anyone think Obama would have been elected in 2008 if these photos could have been seen then? This scumbag, standing with Raul Castro, grinning like a Cheshire cat in front of the image of mass murderer Che Guevara. And now, the fawning leftist news media in the USA is heralding Obama's embrace of these murderous, thieving dictators as something to be celebrated. To our national disgrace.
I'll celebrate Cuba after they hang the Castro's, return the stolen billions to the American companies, stockholders, Cubans and others that were confiscated after the communist revolution, and when justice comes for the million and more people murdered by this totalitarian Soviet puppet regime. And, I'll celebrate when Obama squats out the rest of his life in a Guantanamo prison cell.

Remember, they're not Communists. They're "Democratic Socialists."

yes... yes I do :(
We do business with Russia, China, and Vietnam, and yet we let the whining entitled folks in Hialeah dictate our national policy for nearly 60 years with a country that is 90 miles from our border?!
The preferential treatment given to the Calle Ocho clan needs to stop. Yesterday.
All y'all let me know when the U.S. starts only dealing with foreign states that are angels...
Yes, I absolutely believe he would have still been elected.
Doesn't Obama seem very comfortable amongst his comrades?

All y'all let me know when the U.S. starts only dealing with foreign states that are angels...Thanks for lifting this thread up with some intelligence. I am sure the peanut gallery will chime in with some Fox news rhetoric, but it is nice to know there are still smart people on this board.

He is only uncomfortable with the fact that we own guns and he can't kill us like his heroes Stalin, Mao, Che, Pol Pot, Hitler would have.

I've been saying that for a long time.. There's no reason to still have an embargo on Cuba. We deal with absolute monsters else where in the world. Hell.. We buy most of our shit from slave labor camps in China.. Ever watch Hunger games??? Panam is essentially China.

I'm on the fence with the Cuba thing. Convince me either way.
What will the US gain by getting buddy buddy with Cuba, besides gaining some new vacation destinations and legally imported cigars? Maybe even more cheap ass labor for manufacturing?
What will Cuba gain? Much, much more I think. Billions of dollars of investment, etc. Easier path for even more immigration to the US?
I reallt don't know. Maybe there are some really good reasons. And not for nothing, but saying we do biz with other brutal dictators isn't a good reason to do it with another, so I'm not buying that.
yes... yes I do :(
Me too. With the kind of young people we have today, all the liberals and hipsters, all the Occupiers, dopers, gays, welfare rats, Free Stuff seekers and assorted other Marxist, Socialist moonbats that voted for him? Yeah, they still would have.

More immigrants, and more Democrat voters. And more welfare rats, and Social Security drains, etc.

There is no reason TO do business with Cuba -- or for that matter, Vietnam. Russia and China are different matters due to the rare earth metals needed or the state and scale of industry. Regressive Stalinists have done everything they could to undermine sanctions against Cuba since they were implemented so it's no wonder they didn't have the desired effect. The only thing Cuba and Vietnam bring to play are underpaid workers to compete as unskilled labor -- funny that the Big Labor advocates are the same ones pushing to open these countries.
Does anyone really think there's enough (real) cash in Cuba (probably plenty of forgeries) to provide the US with any trade benefits?

Still on the fence and leaning more toward thinking this a bad idea. Of course, my opinion doesn't mean shit to anyone who makes these decisions, so it's kinda silly to even think "approve" or "oppose" to begin with.
If you haven't seen this, it's priceless.

Krauthammer always nails foreign policy.
Obama is either our Chamberlain or a willing accomplice.
