I'm just truly stumped as to why somebody would want to be that close

It's in the Wtf were they thinking thread. I think he was so close because he didn't know how to aim and was missing the target.

Play stupid games....

I'm guessing the blade is what came at him? If so talk about really bad luck. Stupid for sure being that close, but I think back to some stupid things I've done and I guess just got lucky they didn't go bad or worse than they did.

These videos make me want to buy some tannerite.... not to stick it in something metal and possibly kill myself but just to see what it's like in a reasonable amount.

Our neighbors have been blowing something up, off and on since we've lived here. We have seen the white/yellow smoke coming from their property. How much tannerite would it take to rattle windows about 1000 yards away, it's really tough to judge from the youtube windows.

Maybe it's that "hey there's a car accident" syndrome, but I've been disappointed in the video. I kind of wonder if the frag literally severed it as he was standing (which would be insane), or if it just cut the shit out of it badly, because his reaction and the news I don't have a lot of faith in. ( a lot of people will overreact in the moment )

At any rate, american society has made me into a unsatisfied with the PG video.

This ^^^ needs to learn some marksmanship... the solution is not to get dangerously close, the solution is to get better at hitting your target!

I've been 100yards away from Tannerite (or a substitute) inside of pumpkins... that was my minimum distance with getting hit with chunks of pumpkin.. (it still happened, but didn't really hurt) The most I've detonated out here was 2.5 Lbs with another 2.5Lb container filled with flour on top... at >100 yards from the Neighbor's house (I called to warn them and they said "bring it over"), it knock a picture off the wall. I'd say at 1000 yards it would still rattle windows (depending on the windows).. It was big boom.

I've played with multiple versions of it, and this guy is an idiot.

Blowing stuff up is a lot of fun, but anything can be turned into shrapnel and if you aren't far enough away, it's gonna hurt badly if it hits you.

When I was an idiot teenager, we used to shoot 1lb bottles of propane that had a burning road flare behind it. We wouldn't do that any closer than 2-250yds since you could hear the tank go whistling off and clattering into stuff. We had to replace a window in a pickup from a tank.

Anyone have an unedited version of the video [off-yourself]

I've been using Tannerite (official mix, NOT the off brands) for over a decade with ZERO problems. This video makes users look like fools.

I knew you were being snarky ;)

Your comments made me think of what people thought of Blair Witch back in the day. It was groundbreaking and artsy. And probably cost the same as 3lbs of Tannerite to make!

Yeah, we could have saved it.

In the end the mower got its revenge.
