Anyone here still know how to stack arms with Garands?
I remember but just want to see if any other "old timers" still remember this drill.

IIRC, you're supposed to link the ferrules on the front handguard -- same as with the 1903A3. I did it a couple times based on info from the CMP bulletin board but it's been a while.

What is the purpose?
Stacking was normally done while out in the field. Was a way to rest the rifles since there were no rifle racks available out there and the rifles were immediately available in a hurry. Was pretty handy IF all three owners would take their rifle at the same time.
Was that when you were in WWI or WWII, Bob?
As a kid my dad taught me. He was 301st Signal Corp, 3rd Army-he then went on to do some other really interesting stuff for our gov't. Though he was issued the carbine, he trained with the Garand in Basic and knew lots of guys that had Garands when I was growing up in the 60s. Taught me a few good things, he passed in '92, I still miss him every day. Yeah I know about his trigger finger in the pic, it was a staged photo.
