They have armed security. No metal detectors. How does this apply to concealed weapons Permit?

As would any such sign on private property, you can be trespassed and required to leave.

You write letters to the appropriate agencies ?

I don't own weapons, i own personal defense devices

My experience with hospitals is that as long as you're not going through the security check point where the metal detectors are, no issue.

What the camel-kisser said.

IF...they catch you, they will ask you to leave, if you don't, it's a trespassing charge. Before you argue this point, this was imparted to me by a LEO, if you wan't to argue, I'll get you his e-mail address, and you can take it up with him. I'm just passing it on...

Who's arguing? It's not really a new issue that needs "taking up" with anyone.

And yet, it comes up again and again, to be "taken up", again and again. That's all I'm sayin"

I went to visit a friend at St Anthony's yesterday. I may or may not have noticed such a sign as I was leaving. I definitely didn't notice it when I was going in.

Perhaps it does come up from time to time on this forum (again and again would be a stretch), but I don't think anyone has ever argued the trespassing issue as you make it seem, and rarely does anyone on here go to the "authorities" for clarification, in fact I'd venture to say the majority of members here are well aware of the issue.

It's defacto at every hospital i can think of. Few have metal detectors and usually only at er if at all.

Conceal competently no problem and at worst a trespass notice. I caught one old cowboy with boots duster and best but had fanny pack that was out of place on him. Asked him if ccw meant something to him. Had a nice little convo and i let him go as he'd been visiting a few days already. Brought me some gun mags he was reading while visiting.

Usually you can't get through the ER. Metal detectors and armed security at St. A's ER the last time I was there.

Los Angeles County hospital had metal detectors, but no armed guards (that makes sense) the last time I was there in 08'. My buddy that was with me is a federal officer and he had to sign in his weapon and still could wear it.

You & I agree more than disagree. However...........WAIT A MINUTE CAMEL KISSER??? [hahhah-no] who dA FUK IS THAT

ANYWAY back OT. Before this thread possibly veers OT from the OP's inquiry. While worded differently it does come up more often than not. Usually when someone from outside the Denver metro area is going to town.

Perhaps one so inclined could compile a list of GFZ's pass it to the mods and have a sticky for it.

IMO Unless a place of business has metal detectors (walk through wand, physical inspection) A .Gov building Courthouse etc. I as others with CCW ignore them.

Most important question here!

I hope everything is okay in your world, OP.

FWIW, every ER I've ever been to had metal detectors and guards, but I've never seen metal detectors and active searches at any other entrance to a hospital. The worst thing that can probably happen is that you'll be asked to leave the property. Getting belligerent after that is probably a bad idea.

I don't recall ever seeing a "No Guns Allowed" sign ever.

Good thing your wife ignored that "No concealed babies" sign.

My wife is a labor Nurse.

I carry every time I go to visit the unit. I was carrying the first time I met either of my two grandsons. One here in her unit, the other in WA. They weren't ascared of my big bad crazy gun at all.

As you enter from the main parking lot. Left side of main entrance says No Weapons.

Most hospitals have a bunch of crap written on the entry way, (no animals, no smoking etc.) I'm still not sure why people go out of their way to locate the "no weapons" signage. If it were a matter of breaking a law I would absolutely go out of my way to look for signs, it is not however, so I just pass right on thru.

Anschutz Med Center is the same way; the ER is the only place with a metal detector and guards. As far as I know, it's all one big building so they don't meet the criteria.
