Never seen or heard of this before. Thought I'd post it up for your enjoyment.
Mod edit title to say 50 BMG. More impressive than a plain ol 50AE or Beowulf or black powder.

No thank you, take my man card if you must.
I'd take a shot or two with it. I've never shot anything bigger than a 30-06 or a 45-70 in a handgun. I could add the experience to my list of things I've done that most people haven't.
I like how they correctly lambasted whomever took a vertical video.

This, and I'll add we can blame them if they now block sales of .50BMG AP rounds because "it's now available in a pistol"
[facepalm]
ETA- watch for the cost of AP .50BMG ammo to be x10 soon
If I recall correctly the Birdman Weapons Systems guy was involved in that. They very specifically registered that as a NFA weapon so it wouldn't get the 50 BMG ammo banned. That was built just after the steel core 7.62x39 was banned because of someone making a pistol chambered in it so they were very aware of the consequences of what they were doing. I know it was registered as NFA weapon, I think they registered it as a Short Barreled Rifle

What is the problem with having the picture vertical? Is it written in stone 'Thou shalt only record in the horizontal mode!!!' ? If that had been recorded in the horizontal the shooter would have been so small as to barely visible or you would have only seen his head and shoulders. By recording vertically he got more of the important picture in the frame with a closer view. I want the best view of what is being recorded. I don't care if it is horizontal or vertical.
Have a Nice Day. I feel much better now.

Taken horizontally, that video would look the same, only it wouldn't have had black bars on the sides and we could have enjoyed a much wider field of view, like real life. Every monitor, television screen, tablet, phone, etc is built in a 16:9 frame. It makes no sense to film anything vertically, ever. It's just something that people unconsciously do because they are used to holding their phone that way. I'm glad you didn't hold that in by the way. :D
But to keep the thread on topic, I watched the video again, and was impressed at him hitting that target at that distance. Well done shooter.
