View Full Version : Need LGS suggestions near Henderson
A young lady I work with is in the market for a handgun, and she lives in Henderson. I don't know the area, and the only gun peddlers she knows of are Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops.
Anybody have any other/better suggestions?
Don't go to Bait and Bullet in Brighton that's for sure that guy is a DB!

If she's going as far as Cabelas she could drive a couple miles further north on I25 to Mile High Shooting Accessories. Trigger Time gun club is just a few miles further up the road from them. Both places have good people, won't be intimidating or try to take advantage of her. I'm sure there's others but those are my go to's and I live right by Henderson.

if she wants to see everything, then go to 5280. if she wants to try them, BluCore has the best deal out there--one range rental fee, try all you want from their selection--you just have to buy their ammo.
there are women that work at centennial gun club that might be able to help her out if she's going solo. there's also women that work at Jensen's that might be able to help her (also women at 5280)

Tell her to go to either 5280 or Westminster Arms. Both are going to be a drive, approx. 20-30 minutes from Henderson, but she'll get a feel for inventory, 5280, and service, WA. I suggest WA where she'll get a bit more attention and he offers CCW classes with women in mind.
They are within a few minutes of each other. Both accessible from I-76.

If she is in the area of the DTC, I strongly suggest Bowers Tactical. They have always done very well with people in the market for their first gun or their twenty-first. That said they will still recommend she goes somewhere and shoots a few different firearms to see what she likes.

Nope, lives up north in Henderson. I don't recall many pistols at Bowers?
