I went up to the area right at the intersection of highway 7 and 72. South side of the Bunts School road. As I made my way up the small 100 yard stretch of jeep trail, I stopped at the first shooting area. Immediately I became aware of someone shooting farther/higher up. A few seconds later booom/snap, starting taking rounds about 25 yards away from me. Anyone who was up there yesterday, please don't shoot down into the freakin road. I can see how a lot of the other mountains spots have been shut down. Rule #4 people, please (be aware of target and what is beyond it).
Anyways probably wasnt anyone on this site but I have never taken rounds like that before.
Sorry for ranting but I feel I shout put this out there.
I got out of there as quick as I could and went to a better spot. (yes it was snowing)

The real question here is, what was your ROE?

Did you lay down covering fire?

I don't go to public shooting areas anymore. Key word PUBLIC. The PUBLIC elected Barry O' to the Presidency.

lol not as liberal as when I was first in country, normally I would've got on the 240 to lay down some suppressing but now I have to count at least 10 rounds in my direction before returning fire. (joke and I am not mil)
Incoming, begets outgoing...THEY may want to consider that. Mostly 'cause I'm probably a better shot than they are, just sayin'...

You just know it was some guy with a M&P sport (nothing wrong with that gun) or something hacking away. I was up there to true my ballistic calc at that density altitude, and to get a solid zero. So yes I'm sure he wasn't quite as precision oriented as I am.
