My son has a new S&W Shield in 9m/m and likes the pistol just fine. He bought a brand new combo laser/light for it and is having a problem with this Streamlight TLR 6. The laser beam and light work just fine until the battery compartment lid is closed completely. If the lid is NOT completely closed, the light will function perfectly but not if the battery door compartment lid is snapped completely shut. Anyone else here have any such problem - IF anyone else even has a similar Streamlight Model TLR 6. I presume he will have to contact the Streamlight direct for warranty work but wonder what the chances are that they just make a total exchange???

I have two TLR-6's and they work just fine. Take it to a Streamlight dealer, Streamlight has an excellent warranty. They'll fix it or replace it. If you were here I would say go to Neve's they would likely swap for a new one.

Hey, many thanks Big E3;1974932. I'll pass this info along to the son. He really likes this sight - when it works.

I just took my DS in and they replaced the switch with no charge and no questions asked. I could have found the damn thing on the street for all they cared.

One of the main reasons to stick with companies who have been around. Streamlight and SureFire have both taken care of me on parts, free of charge.
