SBR Trigger Slap

I have a Daniels Defense MK18 upper on a Spikes lower. Upper is running a non-adjustable gas block and lower has an NEA stock (integrated buffer and carrier). Getting a decent amount of sting after shooting a couple of mags. Bearable but noticeable. Currently running it unsuppressed but that will change in hopefully the next four months when my stamp processes. I've been running 55gr hand loads with a modest charge of 24.7gr H335. Is this a trigger issue that I can fix by replacing? Is this an over gassed issue? I love the setup but it is obnoxious after a while and need to smooth it out. Also curious how adding a can to the mix will change it as well.

Do you have another SBR lower you can add the upper to? I have a 10.5" and 11.5" that I don't notice a sting on. I never liked those NEA stocks, my guess would be that's the cause. Adding a can will cause it to be worse I would think.

I don't have another lower that is stamped. I could always change out the stock to test. Why do you think the NEA would be causing the slap?

I've only experienced trigger slap on AR type rifle once. For lack of a better explanation the disconnector timing wasn't quite right causing the trigger to slap forward harshly on reset. I just swapped out the fire control group for a different one rather than monkeying around with it.

Swap the FCG as Ray mentioned. Trigger slap is caused by the hammer excessively contacting the disconnector during cycling and slamming it down onto the trigger.
It is not common on AR platform weapons.
If it continues with a new FCG come see me.

Shit I thought when you said sting, it was referred to the buffer. Sorry i misunderstood, I learned something new today. I personally have never experienced trigger slap before so I can't help.

Only trigger slap I've really had before was with an AK. First ever on an AR.

I may have a pistol lower laying around here somewhere that I can try. I think swapping out the FCG is my first step. Just need to find me a solid replacement, one that will fit the role of this rifle...

Until you swap the FCG you'll not know what works or doesn't. Drop another stock unit in. If it goes away, it's the trigger, if not???
BUT............. when you swap FCG's/Make sure you use different springs.
IF you need a FCG pm me, i'll get one out by tuesday. I also have new hammer, trigger & sear springs.
