They are always around when and where you can't shoot them. If you were hunting, they would be nowhere to be found.

He thinks you're sexy enough to take his girls away, that's a turkey compliment.

They usually don't travel too far between hunting and non-hunting season. Most turkeys in Colorado live within a mile or two their whole lives.
I see a flock on my ride home almost every or every other night.

Confession: one of my earliest shooting experiences was on some private land in SoCal that, at the time, I *thought* was kosher to shoot on because "everyone's doin it" (that's the confession part, nothing nefarious happens)
A friend and I set up some crappy targets along a dried creek bed, and we're shooting when who flies into the middle of the lane about 15ft away than a turkey! Luckily, my friend and I weren't completely stupid so we just laughed and tried to shoo it away (there were also cows mingling around). About a month later, a truck pulled up as we were shooting again. The driver knew the owner of the land and warned us off politely but firmly.

Was that up Magnolia Rd? If so, I have been tempted to not brake when they are in the road and kind of "bump" into them.

I've had deer walk on the berm and then down in the firing lanes at an established range. They keep looking around wondering what all the noise was about. Was only a few people there, but they didn't seem to mind at all.
