I believe you *have* to use them with PSA uppers.

Not really. For the OP. if i was in the market (maybe real; soon) i'd pick one up, for another Glock style 9mm build.

ALL lowers (PSA, NFA, joebobs, QC10) have the ejector in the lower. The PSA/NFA/Joebobs ejector is more a floating type then the QC10 / DDLES unit. One can use th ePSA, etc lower with any 9mm upper (Colt style)
There's a few running PSA lowers with Green mountain bbls, any brand upper receiver, CMMG, JP, NFA, etc. 9mm BCG. ALL buffers work for any 9mm AR buils same for tubes, furniture, optics.............

Here's a read on the NFA lowers which IIRC are very similar to the PSA units. They're all so close only small parts, ejectors, LRBHO, roll pins or set screws to assemble set them apart. I'm linking it for the, not members, deny they're members OR JUST JOINED TO SELL STUFF [ROFL2]

Oddly enough there's numerous technical forums on Arfcom for those unable to locate any info or help here.

I just ordered one of the PSA 9mm billet lowers for an SBR. I'm still a ways out from trying it for a review though.

That's not the issue, I'll have my stamp before I get back from the sandbox. There are worse things to come home too :)

Well, finally caught them in stock so I ordered one. Pretty sure I have enough stuff on hand to complete the lower but might be a while before I get around to doing the upper.

I keep seeing these on sale and have been trying to figure out how to tell my wife we need one. Especially since she caved on letting me get a Traeger after we get a new water heater installed, and I still need to get my R700 to a smith to get the scope/rings/base mounted. Looking forward to reviews on these, as I hope to add it to my NFA trust before the new rules take effect.

Nah. You just need to teach her who wears the pants in the relationship.

Oh, and be sure to let us know how that works out for you.

Not a PSA that uses Glock mags, but this came in my email and my first thought was how much trouble I'd be in if I ordered one. [dig]

I'm actually thinking about skipping the whole 9mm AR platform. I'm kind of waiting to see one of CZ Scorpion carbines in person and might go in that direction.

That's what I thought at first glance. After taking a second look I realized it was integrally suppressed.

Still, $2K for an integrally suppressed bbl? I'll try building one. If not i'll have a $130. bbl with lots of holes.

Put some of it together this evening. Fairly certain it is going be built as a pistol. Just haven't figured it all out just yet. Took some digging around to find the magazines since I stashed them away years ago and couldn't remember where they were.

I'm open to suggestions for the upper. Seems some of the 9mm stuff can be hit or miss as far as reliability and durability.

Thanks. I was kind of looking at the Rock River stuff the other day. Glad to hear positive feedback on them. Not sure if they would be compatible with a Glock mag lower but I bet a little minor machine work on the bolt would make it work.

I planned to buy a PSA upper for mine. The one I want isn't in stock at this time though. I figure their lowers and uppers are designed for each other and I don't have the tools or skills to machine out an upper.

I've seen some spotty reviews on the PSA uppers in 9mm so I think I'll just steer clear of them.

I'm not really set up to do any real machine work but I think the modification to the bolt to work with Glock magazines is fairly simple and straight forward and I probably know a couple of machinists that would hook me up for a reasonable price.

The newer G9 hybrid BCG on their uppers have been getting better reviews. Also, steer clear of the ETS mags apparently. Watched 2 reviews where those were the issue and not the gun.

Picked this up in a trade yesterday. Don't know if I am going to use a standard AR upper or pay for a NFA 9mm upper. As far as compatibility goes, I am almost certain NFA makes Joebobs and PSA. I can't find any complete uppers Instock but I am not worried about who's upper I use, I'm going to run the NFA glock/hybrid bcg in mine.

I bought the billet lower and 16" classic 9mm upper back in July. Shoots great and feeds fine. It's really fun shooting 147gr with through the Osprey.

Westminster Arms off of Wadsworth had a few of the complete PSA 9mm that take the colt mags. They are really rough around the edges. The bolt felt like it was running through sandpaper when pulling the charging handle and then letting it go. I picked up an ATI "pistol" from The Reloading Zone instead. Takes glock mags. Runs perfectly and the build quality far surpassed my expectations. Price was outstanding. My buddy picked one up too. Dang thing eats ammo like a fat kid eats cake.

Picked up an angstadt arms upper/lower.

Looking for threaded barrels in 1/2-28 for the silencer I ordered. Really don't want to spend extra for another mount.

Finally put together this PSA AR-9 pistol with 10" barrel. I'm not sure if I'll keep it in pistol configuration or ultimately just make it a carbine. Range report once I shoot it...

Finally got it to the range today. Functioned flawlessly & fun to shoot. But I think I'm going to replace the upper with a 16" barrel, get rid of the Blade "Stabilizer", and just build a no-stamp carbine. I just don't need a "pistol" with a 10.5" barrel. (I'll eventually be posting the upper and Blade stabilizer for sale...)

Thats why you get a 5 inch barrel with a can. It makes for a very quiet 10.5 inch gun.

Once your muckin clears up. Either sell the 10.5 to pay for a 5" OR..... cut that one down. Which is the better way to go, so all you wait on is a smith to cut and thread for you.

win -win

Recently built this. Used an Angstadt Arms upper with Angstadt bolt and a Critical Capabilities lower. I used an 8" Faxon barrel and the SD Tactical muzzle brake will work with my can. So far it runs like a top.
