Lady bugs bite. Mrs BG reported to me she was viciously gnawed upon by a bug that wasn't very lady-like. I laughed, then "Googled" it. Sure enough, lady bugs will bite. They have no venom or irritating saliva so you're not likely to perish from a lady bug bite. Unless you're involved in some type of Stephen King horror scenario where dead lady bugs were buried on ancient Indian burial grounds. That could be bad.

ETA: But, now that I think about it, what caliber is good for lady bugs?

.410 loaded with sand or salt works good on flying insects.

No....those aren't ladybugs like we grew up with. Those miserable POS's are Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles, which are very similar to the ladybugs that we grew up with...only they're evil.

Ladybugs are far redder in color than the Biters; the Biters look like ladybugs that have been faded y the sun. They bite and it hurts and it destroys childhood dreams to think that a ladybug would bite.

Perfect timing. I heard that after Sweeny Todd wraps up at the theater next month, the next musical coming into town will be Joseph and the Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle. Finally a musical that combines the Bible, multiculturalism, and anthropomorphic transgender issues.
